WELCOME TO DANI CAPTURES!
I've always had an interest in the brain and memory. Did you know that the brain is actually terrible at fully recollecting a memory? "One reason we don't retain the details of the images that our eyes pick up is that in order for us to remember them, the details first have to have captured our conscious attention." (Leonard Mlodinow) It's wild to think that a camera is capable of something that the brain cannot fully comprehend.
That's what I love most about photography; capturing unique moments that will never happen again. My parents play a big role in this as they were the ones going out of their way to find the best angle for a photo. Even if they weren't the best (or the clearest), each photo was like a personal souvenir from every adventure. In my junior year of high school, I made my first big girl purchase and bought a Nikon D3200. I would bring it with me to every special event taking as many photos and videos as I could. Oddly, my senior yearbook is one of my most cherished items because that is where my photos were first published
Seven years later, I'm thankful to have been able to share my craft with graduates, newlyweds, university administrators, friends, and family. There's a lot more I want to learn and I am looking forward to seeing my progress as I upload more and more. Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my photos! I hope they give you the same warm feeling as I get.

Some interesting facts about me!
1. I have port-wine stains (a type of birthmark) on my right arm that change colors with my body heat.
2. Outside of photography, I love to paint for my friends and family. I'm actually award-winning!
3. I was a shot-put thrower for 7 years.
4. I LOVE cartoons! I cannot edit without having one on in the background
